The purpose of this course is for students to be able to provide proper nursing care before, during, and after surgery to patients of gynecological and obstetric surgeries.
Laboratory Outline
- Applications of the aseptic technique during all the phases of surgeries (gynecological and obstetric).
- Perioperative nursing skills (tools, set, type of stitches in gynecological – obstetric surgeries).
- Applications, skills in postoperative monitoring (serums, hospitalization, vital signs, medicines, cards, resuscitation operating room).
- Receipt and characterization of preparations (clinical application – duties).
- Participation in the surgical team during gynecological surgeries and the caesarean section (clinical application).
- Preparation of aseptic operating room (tools, operating room and machine equipment – clinical application).
- Clinical application in machines, tags, drugs, anesthesiology.
