The aim of this course is for the students to understand the connection between Informatics & Technology and the hospital practices and the need of applying them in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Moreover, among the aims of the course is for the students to acquire the ability to utilize all the technological means available during the monitoring of pregnancy and labor, as well as to interpret the findings of an ultrasound examination.
In the computer laboratory, the students will initially, acquire basic infrastructure knowledge and basic computer skills in information systems of health services by using the appropriate software. Then, students will practice the application of the above acquired knowledge in prenatal checkup groups and outpatient gynecological clinics.
